Job Description

Role Overview

The Sales Assistant (Remote) supports the sales team in day-to-day operations, customer communication, and administrative tasks. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills to ensure smooth sales processes while working in a remote environment, in compliance with Sri Lankan employment standards and company policies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the sales team in managing customer inquiries via email, phone, or online platforms
  • Maintain and update customer records, sales data, and CRM systems accurately
  • Support the preparation of quotations, invoices, and sales reports
  • Follow up with clients on orders, payments, and feedback
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products/services
  • Handle basic customer service issues and escalate complex matters when required
  • Track sales activities and assist in achieving team targets
  • Ensure all tasks are performed in line with company policies and Sri Lankan labour regulations
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information
  • Adhere to agreed working hours and remote work guidelines

What We're Looking For
  • Good communication skills in English (Tamil/Sinhala is an advantage)
  • Basic understanding of sales processes and customer service
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and/or CRM systems
  • Basic problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset
  • Familiarity with remote working tools (Zoom, Teams, email platforms)


Qualifications & Experience

  • GCE O/L or A/L qualification (Diploma in Sales/Marketing is an added advantage)
  • Previous experience in sales support or customer service is preferred but not mandatory
