Job Description

Role Overview

The Business Developer is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to work independently or remotely while ensuring compliance with Sri Lankan labour laws and company policies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leads, and partnerships
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential clients
  • Prepare business proposals, presentations, and sales strategies
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and agreements with clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, finance) to deliver solutions
  • Monitor business development performance and report on progress to management
  • Attend industry events, networking sessions, and client meetings (virtually or physically)
  • Ensure all business dealings comply with company policies and Sri Lankan regulations
  • Provide feedback on market trends and client needs to support product/service improvement

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management
  • Proven track record of achieving business targets and driving growth
  • Experience with digital tools for business development is an advantage
